Prevention and Early Detection

'Prevention and Early Detection,' the theme for Weedbusters this year, focuses on how important it is to prevent weeds from spreading to new areas by being alert to any strange plants that could be weeds. Keeping an eye out for weeds is something everyone can do. Early detection is very important in combating weeds, since it's much easier to control and even eradicate an infestation of weeds if they are found early on - before they get out of hand.

By becoming familiar with existing weeds, everyone can play a role in detecting new weeds and preventing them from spreading.
